Hey Folks. Today is May 7, 2014, and I have a few things to mention.

First of all, Billy Joel has a new Sirius Radio Station, Channel 4.
Billy’s band members are taking turns guest DJ-ing, and Chuck and Andy are both playing a bit of Shotgun Wedding in their sets. So, if you have Sirius, give a listen, and you might get to hear our first single, City Boy.

We think, as a result of this wonderful publicity, that may be the reason we are now number 5 on Reverb Nation’s Country charts for Brooklyn, NY! Thanks, folks!

Thanks to all who made it to the Triad! We had a great time and we were very happy to debut two new songs.
We have another Triad gig coming up. It will be Monday, June 16 at 9pm. Go to the Shows page for details and tickets.

I apologize profusely for the cancelation of the Gold Coast Arts Center solo concert. We canceled it due to my oversight of how close it is to the Tilles Center, totally my fault. The folks at the GCAC have been very nice about the whole thing, for which I am very grateful. I am hoping we can reschedule it. I was very much looking forward to doing a solo concert on the island I grew up on. Hope we still can do it one of these days when the Movin’ Out Band isn’t playing so close.

Speaking of which, coming up this week, the Movin’ Out Band™ is performing at the Tilles Center at CW Post, Friday, May 9, for two shows, 7:30 and 9:30. Very exciting to reunite the original band from the Broadway production of Movin’ Out for Billy’s 65 birthday on our native Long Island. Check the Shows page for details. At this writing the first show is sold out, the second show is close to being sold out.

I am loving having my own website up and running agin. Thanks for all the positive feedback, folks.

See you soon, hopefully on Friday night!

All my best,

WELCOME!

Wade 1920's Cabriolet b&w

Welcome to the new wadepreston.com. Thanks to the tireless work of Jill Carletti (who also manages harmonypresents.com) I finally have my own website back. I can access it and list performance dates, add pictures, news and commentary like I used to.

This is a big deal for two reasons. First, I did not have access to it for years, so there was no way to tell you about upcoming events, post pictures and tell you about some of the very cool things that have been going on, which was awful because people were left out of the loop, and missed some pretty cool events.

Secondly, you made it abundantly clear you wanted something to follow so you’d know where I was playing and what was going on with solo performances, The Movin’ Out Band, and the great new “City Country” band that I’m in called Shotgun Wedding, Well, I heard you and I couldn’t agree more.

Now, with the help of Jill (who really did all the work) and her guy Jason Merrill, it is finally a reality. I am eternally grateful to them and I am very excited about being in control of this domain again. I have every intention of keeping you posted on everything that is going on with performances and recordings and whatever news I feel is relevant in my little musical universe. We are still in the early stages of getting it together, but it’s here, and it’s only going to get better.

Thank you for listening, and thanks again for stopping by.

All my best,

Wade
