Upcoming Performances
SCROLL DOWN FOR WADE SOLO!

Hey all! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Here are all the performances that are open to the public. I keep it as up to date as possible as it frequently changes. And of course, I don’t post the private events.

And once again, scroll down a bit for my solo performances. It’s listed by artist in alphabetical order, and WADE SOLO is last lol. Scroll, scroll, scroll!

No shows booked at the moment.

One of the things I love about what I do for a living is; it affords me the opportunity to meet all kinds of people I would have never met otherwise. Thank you all for your indulgence and making me feel so welcome over the years. Means the world to me.

My CD LOST IN THE NOISE, featuring Jon Ventre on bass and Steve Kurilla on drums, as well as a number of orchestral musicians to add to our musical eclecticism is now available as a CD at my performances, or as downloads on iTunes or streaming on all digital platforms.

My apologies for the lack of an ordering CD online option. My bad … I’d be happy to mail one (or a dozen) to you if you’d like.

This project took a year and a half to create. It’s a concept record and it’s about an hour long. I’m very happy with how it came out. It’s quite eclectic, very Wade. I hope you enjoy it. Check out the free liner notes that include all the lyrics and additional musicians and other information.

In 2023 I finally released the Christmas record I had been promising for decades, simply entitled Wade Preston Christmas. It’s available as a CD at my gigs, but incase you are one of the many people who no longer have a CD player, I’ve included all the Spotify codes here. BTW, you have to have Spotify to read the codes, but these records are available on all digital streaming platforms as well as iTunes with just a simple search for either Wade Preston or The Wade Preston Band.

Originally released in 1995, the original WPB’s classic No Present Like the Time CD with Christo Pellani on drums and Clifford Rehrig on bass, has been remixed and remastered. I was never too happy with the original mixes, so when it came time to transfer all my original ADAT tapes to a digital format that wouldn’t deteriorate (ADATs used VHS tapes in the ’90’s), Eric Ritter and I took it upon ourselves to remix and remaster the whole thing. (Admittedly, Eric did all the heavy lifting lol.) Thank goodness the tapes and machines were all still in good shape! We even found two instrumental tracks that weren’t on the original pressing, so we included those as well. The only thing missing is the beautiful original artwork done by Steve Johannessen, and the original photography. Sadly those hard drives had deteriorated beyond repair. and I have no idea what became of the original photographs. But the music survived! So, for now this recording is only available as downloads on iTunes and streaming on all digital platforms. There are some true WPB classics on this recording. My old bandmates and buddies Christo and Cliff are still at it. We try to get a Zoom chat in from time to time, certainly not often enough. Love these guys. Funny as hell! And they were and are amazing musicians. To this day no drummer has been able to pull off Coffee To Go like Christo, or even figure out the time signatures. We never did, either. We just felt it. It really was a great band.

And yes! There is another Wade CD coming out in 2025. All recorded, mixed and mastered by the one and only Eric Ritter of Windmill Agency. He is amazing in the studio!
This recording includes Steve Kurilla, Jon Ventre, Eric Ritter, Sarah Jane Williams on background vocals, Amy Vaida on violins and viola, Dan King and Colleen Ruddy on cellos, Marty Rifkin on pedal steel, the one and only Cliff Lyons on saxes, Gary Rixner on trombone, and Joe Boga on trumpet. I played drums on three of the pieces. I hadn’t played drums in decades but we gave it a try and I was pretty surprised at how much I remembered. And playing drums is so much fun! Steve is still the man, though.
There is also some musical time travel going on here – a song I started recording in 1994 on my ADATs in Redondo Beach, California is finished in Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania in 2025. It includes awesome west coast musicians John Meadows on bass and Jeff Falcone on drums, two incredible musicians I worked and recorded with during my California days in the ’90’s. I kept a few of my vocal tracks from 1994 as well. I redid the keys, the vast majority of my lead vocal, added Sarah Jane on background vocals, Eric on guitar, Cliff Lyons on sax, and Gary Rixner on trombone. It sounds really good, thirty years after it got started lol. Again, Eric deserves SO much credit with his engineering skills, but it’s truly musical time travel!
